Nano Genesis was founded in 2008 by Mashudur Rahman Fahim and Ishrat Zerin Hossain Mou and has office in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Both of the partnered has a studio based practice whose works find intend to unearth the heritage and history of Bangladesh and try to create the link of its urban and rural culture with strong emphasis on climate, materials and context – both human and nature. Projects in the studio are given extended time for research for generating its own original expression. Till now works range from small residences and multi-family apartments to mixed-use building. Their research were being widely published in both national & international journals.
Mashudur Rahman Fahim
Mashudur Rahman Fahim has been working as an architect since graduated from the Ahsanullah University of Science & Technology (AUST), Dhaka in 2008. In 2014 he joined as a Lecturer at the Department of Architecture, Stamford University Bangladesh. After working with Marina Tabassum Atchitects (MTA) & DWm4 Architects, he stablished his own practice under Nano Genesis as founding partner. He was awarded as a winning participant in many national competition in association with MTA & DWm4 Architects. He also worked as a photographer and has participated two exhibitions which are ‘Photograph competition of historical sites of Bangladesh’, (2007) organized by Maati Imaging Bangladesh and ‘Commonwealth Association of Architects (CAA) Photo exhibition’, (2013) organized by CAA 2013 organizing committee & IAB.
Ishrat Zerin Hossain Mou
Ishrat Zerin Hossain Mou has been working as an architect since graduated from the Ahsanullah University of Science & Technology (AUST) in 2008 and completed her M.Arch from Bangladesh University of Science and Technology (BUET), Dhaka in 2017. She is working as an Assistant Professor at the Stamford University Bangladesh in the Department of Architecture. She is a founding partner of Nano Genesis. Her research were being published in both national & international journals.
